#36: The New Form of Spitballs

Do kids still make spitballs? If you don’t know what these are, spitballs are gross, wet wads of paper that kids and teens would spit onto the ceiling of a classroom. It was part science experiment, part rebellious prank. This storyteller’s school took spitballs to a whole other level, at least in the girl’s locker room. 

Get ready to be totally grossed out. The girls in gym class would throw wet tampons onto the locker room ceiling. They basically made giant spitballs to shoot onto the ceiling. Surprisingly, most of them stuck. The gym teachers didn’t even try to clean them up. We don’t blame them. Every once in a while, one would fall off the ceiling and land on an innocent bystander. How sweet.
