#18: Clip, Clip, Clip

What is it about clipping one’s toenails that is so intimate? It’s such a jarring experience to see a stranger clipping their nails out in the open. It’s like you’re seeing a secret side of them that you wish you had never witnessed. We’re shuddering just thinking about the sound nail clippers make. Ugh. 

This person walked in on an older gentleman clipping his toenails in their gym’s hot tub. We hate everything about that visual. Our storyteller, who was looking forward to a relaxing hot tub sesh, immediately turned around and went home as soon as they realized what was happening. They haven’t slept a good night since. The sound of those nail clippers probably haunts them in their nightmares.
