The Interrogation of Evelyn Following Her Husband’s Death

Even amidst her glamorous life and lofty status, Evelyn found herself at the center of her husband’s murder investigation. Detective Sergeant Clarence Preston brought her to the station for questioning after her husband’s body was discovered. Evelyn’s indifferent and chilling reply to the news of her husband’s brutal death left the police astounded as she coolly remarked her ignorance about the whole affair.

Undeterred and without a hint of sorrow, Evelyn spun a tale of an Italian hitman who supposedly came looking to settle scores with her husband, John, over a romantic entanglement. However, Evelyn’s story did little to dispel the suspicions against her, as several pieces of evidence subtly pointed towards her potential involvement in the crime.
