The Union with James Robinson
In August of 1867, despite being completely heartbroken, James Robinson could not understand the depth of their tragedy. Still, life moved on, and shortly after their union, they welcomed a child into their lives, marking a new beginning together.

Tragedy struck again in March of 1868 when the newborn children of Mary Ann and James Robinson passed away, enveloping their lives in sorrow. Mary Ann soon became pregnant, and by June of 1869, they had their second child. Amid their endeavors to build a life together, Mary Ann urged Robinson to take out life insurance, a grim precaution for unforeseen calamities.
