41. Sean Penn
Acclaimed actor Sean Penn is proof that even when celebrities act for the greater good, the media finds a way of bashing them. When the actor traveled to Louisiana in 2005 to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina, the media accused him of using this catastrophe as a P.R event. Naturally, he denied these accusations, and since, Penn was involved in different charity causes and humanitarian work.

In 2010, the actor traveled to Haiti following the catastrophic Haiti earthquake and founded the J/P Haiti Relief Organization. While it was initially founded to support relief efforts following the disaster, ten years later, the organization continues to provide help to ongoing local needs.
