42. Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all times, and not many people know, but he’s also a philanthropist. The former Chicago Bulls star tries to put his wealth to good use in different ways. Over the years, he has granted over 200 wishes to the Make a Wish Foundation and has raised them over $5 million.

Between 2001 and 2014, he ran an annual celebrity golf tournament that raised money for different charity organizations, and together with his first wife, he donated $5 million to the Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago. In 2018, the basketball superstar donated $2 million to the relief efforts of Hurricane Florence that hit and damaged significant parts of North Carolina and his former hometown.
