Where do we even begin discussing Leonardo Dicaprio’s charity endeavors? The award-winning actor has been busy doing charity work for the past three decades, almost as he was busy filming new blockbusters. His first major charity act was back in 1998, when he donated money to open the “Leonardo DiCaprio Computer Center” in Los Feliz.

In the past years, he took an active part in every natural disaster that struck the U.S and other parts of the world. In 2017, he donated $1 million to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund, aiding the victims of the disastrous Hurricane Harvey. Recently, his charity donated $5 million to the Amazon Fire Effort, as environmentalism is one of the most important causes for the actor.
