#33: Founding Echo Films

2008 Jennifer co-founded Echo Films with her producing partner, Kristin Hahn. The company aimed to create character-driven stories with meaningful themes. Echo Films gave her greater control over the types of projects she wanted to pursue, and she became more involved behind the scenes as a producer.

Through the company, she developed movies like The Switch and Dumplin’. The focus was often on female-led narratives and authentic storytelling. Jennifer used the platform to amplify underrepresented voices. Founding Echo Films marked a turning point in her career.
