#17: Beyoncé and Solange Knowles

Although she is Beyoncé’s little sister, Solange Knowles has always insisted on making it on her own, and has cultivated a successful career as a singer and a dancer. That being said, she’s not as famous as her sister, Queen B., but that’s not really a fair comparison, because Beyoncé is one of the most successful singers in the world today.

Solange has even refused collaborations with her sister, and she proved to everyone, including herself, that she can make it on her own merit. Knowles has released her first album at the age of 16, and she’s also starred in several Hollywood films, including the comedy Bring It On: All or Nothing.
