Luciana Paluzzi was born in Rome in 1937 and enjoyed a vibrant acting career before landing her iconic role as Fiona Volpe in Thunderball (1965). Her portrayal of the seductive and ruthless SPECTRE assassin became one of the most memorable female villains in the James Bond franchise.
