Perpetuating the Cycle
In the ongoing gang wars, Capone’s men sought revenge for Hymie Weiss’s rejection of the truce, and they succeeded in taking him down, mirroring Capone’s previous actions with Dean O’Banion two years prior. However, this only further enflamed Weiss’s lieutenants, perpetuating the cycle of violence and vengeance.

In a retaliatory move, the North Side Gang captured one of Capone’s closest friends and the owner of the Hawthorne Inn, pushing Capone deeper into the quagmire. His once-flourishing legacy began to crumble, and he was plagued by a growing sense of paranoia. Despite the mounting pressure and his deteriorating mental state, Capone managed to stay one step ahead in the treacherous world of gang warfare.
