Unconscious Bias
It’s a strange phenomenon that when we are already inclined to be happy about something, we unconsciously look for more reasons to like it. And when we are already inclined to be unhappy about something, we unconsciously look for more reasons to dislike it.

That, according to this restaurant owner, is exactly what happened with Emma. Her food was late—something that the owner does not try to deny—and because of that, she was mad about the entire meal and was just looking for reasons to tear it apart, whether or not they were true.
