#45: Vermont
Best: Contrary to the saying “you are what you eat,” Vermont, the happiest state, doesn’t indulge in Happy Meals to maintain its joy. Sure, Happy Meals are delicious, but knowing which state is leading the country toward a healthier future is promising.

Worst: With only 1.9 fast food joints per 10,000 people, Vermont’s scarcity of drive-thrus contributes to its title as the healthiest and most cheerful state in the U.S. While some might view this as a bad thing, plenty consider it a positive thing.
