That’s Not My Job
u/Mjdillaha: “During my teenage years, I was employed at Burger King. One day, the assistant manager, who was bending the rules by having her teenage daughter assist her at work, approached me with an unusual request to clean the restrooms. It wasn’t part of my regular duties, but I didn’t mind and had a positive attitude about it. So, I geared up to tackle the restroom cleaning task.

I entered the men’s restroom only to be met with an alarming sight. The reason she had assigned me this task became painfully clear… There was fecal matter smeared on the walls, the sink, the floor, and even the exterior of the toilet. The toilet itself was clogged, with wet, used toilet paper both inside and strewn all around the room. I promptly exited the bathroom and told the assistant manager, ‘I’m not cleaning that. You can fire me if you want, but I’m not cleaning it.’ She let out a heavy sigh and reluctantly fetched a mop.”
