Time to Move on
“During my undergraduate years, I worked at a bar, and I needed to take a 4-week field course to graduate. I had informed them well in advance about this commitment, and at that time, they didn’t seem to mind, as there were plenty of other bar staff available to cover my shifts.”

“However, when the time finally arrived for me to leave for the course, they started giving me a hard time, questioning my commitment to the bar and why I couldn’t stay. Despite my explanations, I had to leave for the course as it was a graduation requirement. When I returned, they never scheduled me for shifts again. In hindsight, I wasn’t too bothered by it, considering the fratty atmosphere at that place.”
