Pets Are Like Family

u/Blackmaybe shared, “My dog suddenly fell seriously ill and required euthanasia. I was at work and requested to leave half an hour early so I could be there for him. I approached my manager, but she became annoyed, exclaiming that there was ‘no way’ and that I should have informed her earlier.

“In response, I said, ‘I’m sorry, I didn’t realize my dog was going to die,’ dripping with sarcasm. I walked away, fully aware that she would follow me. I then positioned myself at my desk and began typing my resignation letter right in front of her. Faced with my determination, she eventually granted me the time off. Nothing was going to prevent me from being there for my beloved pet.”
