The Eagles Won Their First Super Bowl in 2018

Before Super Bowl LII (2018), the Eagles had won three NFL Championships (1948, 1949, and 1960) but had never won a Super Bowl. That changed in February 2018, when backup quarterback Nick Foles led them to an incredible victory over the New England Patriots, 41-33.

Foles, who replaced the injured Carson Wentz, played the game of his life, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. The game featured one of the most famous plays in NFL history—the “Philly Special,” a trick play where Foles caught a touchdown pass.
