#17: A Weird Use for Fish Skin
Nature is full of amazing remedies that greatly benefit humans. This weird-looking photo isn’t a realistic Halloween costume. It’s an actual example of how fish skin is used to help patients regrow some of their skin. Fish skin grafts have been proven to help heal burns and diabetic wounds.

The fish skin attracts the body’s own cells, promoting regrowth in the affected areas. Eventually, living human tissue overtakes the fish skin, and the wound is completely healed. There is still research being done about how well fish skin grafts work in comparison to other treatments. However, so far, it’s looking pretty positive.
