8. Creative Liberties Are No Liberties at All
Well, never mind the fact that this art teacher was completely wrong and really needs to spend more time outdoors looking at flowers, but even if there didn’t exist a black flower, who cares? It’s a painting; creative interpretation should be allowed.

It’s this sort of smothering of imagination that is destroying children’s creativity and producing unhappy and narrow-minded adults. Or maybe it’s intentional, a snowballing effect that is reflected in society. Never stop imagining; it is what makes us human, and we should all strive to be more like children in that regard.
