31. How to Traumatize a Child

Third grade seems a little early to be talking about these kinds of things, but I can imagine the intentions behind it were maybe to protect the kids in the short term. Not great for long-term planning, and not great for their general health and relationships and just sense of self for when they get older, but it makes the most sense.

Maybe I’m giving the teacher too much of the benefit of the doubt, but in all seriousness, this is very concerning, and I’m worried for both the teacher and the students now. This is the kind of thing that can really mess you up.
