14. Because of the English Language, Thou Shalt Follow the Nonexistent Rules
Because of this nonsensical rule brought up in class, we shall begin this paragraph the way we did out of spite. It makes sense on some level to make this a rule if you are wanting to teach kids how to better form sentences, as “because” could be used very poorly in English. “Because he pushed me” is not a full sentence, true.

But is stating it’s a rule really a good idea? Maybe there are better ways to teach this, by showing children how to properly use the word and form sentences. Patience and effort are key here, which is something a lot of teachers in this article appear to be missing.
