Puck Payback

This is a great story because the writer got to deliver karmic retribution to his sister without even realizing it. Even better than that is the fact that he doesn’t have to feel bad about doing so, that she can’t technically blame him for doing so, and that he probably didn’t get in trouble for it.

I mean, imagine that conversation with their parents if she tried to tattle on him. “He hit me with a hockey puck in a pillowcase!” “Well, why was there a hockey puck in that pillowcase?” “Well… because I stole it and hid it in there to mess with him.” You see what I mean? He basically got to hit his sister with a hockey puck scot-free. Not that we encourage any kind of violence, but you can’t deny this was a case of karma in action.
