The Writing Was on the Wall
Sometimes, you decide to do something even when everyone around warns you that it’s a mistake. It can be hard to see that when you’re the person making the decision, but for the people around you, it seems so obvious that you’re making a mistake. That’s what happened to the upper-level management in this company.

They decided to hire someone who was a fraud even though some of their employers warned them against hiring the guy. Maybe they had their reasons for hiring him – who knows? – but it ended up blowing in their faces, and they had to pay the price. Should we feel sorry for them? I’m not sure.
