Choose the Right

Most of the stories that we’ve read so far have been about karmic retribution: people doing something unkind or dishonest and then quickly getting the comeuppance that they deserve. But karma can go two ways: sometimes people do good things, and the universe rewards them for their efforts.

Well, in this case, it was the owner of the wallet, not the universe, who rewarded this girl. But the fact that the reward was exactly what she needed to pay rent? That feels like higher power at work. The question that you have to ask yourself, though, is: even if the universe doesn’t reward you, will you still do good things, just because it’s the right thing to do?
