I don’t really want to develop a reputation for deriving pleasure in the suffering of innocent animals, but I do have to say this is pretty lucky for the person in question. If I had to choose between getting mauled by a ferocious dog and that dog getting hit by a truck, I know what I would choose…

Of course, there’s always the possibility that this German Shepherd had completely innocent intentions, just chasing after their human target in order to receive a little attention. In which case, I actually have just outed myself as someone cruel and heartless who pays little heed to the lives of our furry companions.
