Trick and Treat

Many people are so blown away by the realism of this cake that they refuse to consider giving it a bite. I certainly can’t blame them, as it looks ready to bite back! This amelanistic Burmese python recreation was made by Francesca Pitcher in 2012 for a client’s birthday party.

She runs North Star Cakes in the UK and was made an instant internet sensation for this snake. It’s so realistic that if you reverse Google search the image, you’ll get links to pythons all over the web. She claimed it took three days to make the tri-layered cake, including over 12 hours to perfect the icing.
