#27: What are they keeping in there?
This seems like a futuristic dystopian wall, but in truth, it’s present-day dystopian. This wall separates the public from Chernobyl, a 1986 nuclear plant meltdown that killed nearly 100 people at the time but has been attributed to over 4,000 deaths in the decades since due to the radiation it still emits.

Chernobyl is considered the worst nuclear radiation meltdown on record, followed closely by Fukushima. Both tragedies have heavily impacted the local flora and fauna, resulting in mutant animals, vegetables, and contaminated water sources. Neither site can be explored, for obvious reasons, and it will be decades before they’re safe enough to enter, even with protective gear.
