#5: Onion Keeper
Onions are found in so many recipes that it makes sense to purchase a large bag to always have some on hand. However, most of the time, we barely make a dent in that bag before they spoil. It seems so wasteful to toss most of the onions so soon after buying them, but we can’t cook fast enough to use them all!

Instead of resigning yourself to only using part of what you bought, plan ahead to keep them fresh for longer. For example, if you store your onions in a pair of tights, they will stay fresh for several months longer than they would otherwise. Sure, it sounds weird to use your legwear as storage, but it’s better than wasting a bunch of produce!
