#2: Gotta Keep ‘Em Separated
How do you store your fresh produce? Do you have a particular bin in your refrigerator where you toss all your fruits and vegetables when you get them home from the grocery store? If so, you may be causing your veggies to expire a little bit sooner than they otherwise would.

Fruit produces a gas that causes vegetables to ripen quicker, making them go bad sooner. So, if you store your fruits and vegetables together, find another place to keep each one. For example, try to assign each category its own bin inside your refrigerator and keep unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables in separate areas of your counter.
