#18: Do Away with Paper Towels

Paper towels are often the workhorse of any kitchen. They are helpful for everyday cleaning and also for cleaning up major spills. We tend to go through rolls pretty quickly. However, they are also a considerable drain on resources. Think about how many trees are used every year for our paper towels!

Ditch the standard paper towels in favor of something reusable. Keep a supply of washcloths on hand to use in place of your roll of paper towels. They are even more absorbent than paper, and the best part is that they can be washed and reused for years. And with some cute colors and prints, they are better looking to keep on hand.
