#10: New Is Not Always Better
It is so tempting to buy yourself the newest design for a product you regularly use. Whether they are touting improved function, better benefits, or simply look nicer, it’s hard to stay happy with the old version you already own. We always want new and shiny things. However, that’s precisely what the companies want you to think to maximize their profits.

If you upgrade your items every time something new comes out on the market, you’re creating more environmental waste on top of wasting your money. Instead, remind yourself that these companies are preying on your wallet by using state of the art marketing. Keep using your current product until it can’t be used any longer and only then upgrade. That’s the eco-friendly way to go.
