Keeping It in The Family

It looks like we’ve got ourselves a little bit of a family feud going on! Two cousins got married, and everyone knew about it the whole time? It’s like a family reunion gone wrong. I can only imagine the looks on everyone’s faces when the happy couple announced their engagement.

But in all seriousness, there are some pretty big ethical and moral questions that come with marrying a close relative. It’s not just a matter of cultural norms or societal expectations. Genetics play a role too, and there’s a reason that many states have laws against first-cousin marriage.
