Starbucks vs Local Caffee

The classic Starbucks debate – to build or not to build? On the one hand, having a Starbucks in town can be convenient and provide community jobs. On the other hand, there’s the fear that it will put smaller, locally-owned businesses out of business. Either way, it’s not going to stomp all over the competition.

It’s just a coffee shop. And while it might have more resources and brand recognition than some of the smaller businesses in town, that doesn’t mean it’s automatically going to succeed. Plus, competition is a good thing – it keeps businesses on their toes and encourages them to be innovative and creative.
