Now that’s a dramatic objection! When someone tries to rain on your parade, especially on your wedding day, it’s never easy. Good for this groom for standing up to his mother and defending his relationship. Going against family members, especially when it comes to matters of faith or personal beliefs, takes real courage.

But at the end of the day, what matters most is following your heart and being true to yourself. It’s great to hear that this woman and her husband are still going strong after 12 years – love really does conquer all! Here’s hoping that the mother-in-law comes around and can see just how happy her son and daughter-in-law are together.
