35. Mind Over Matter!

There is something to be said about positive thinking and willpower when it comes to physical injury, but there’s only so far that mindset will take you. Chances are if someone is going to a doctor, it’s probably because they need actual help and proper treatment.

Pain doctors are an interesting bunch, but it is pretty clear they are supposed to do more than just give you a pep talk. Fortunately, this patient had the good sense to find someone else and got proper care that helped.
