With this doctor, we have a perfect example of a “do as I say, not as I do” situation. Smoking is a terrible habit that has side effects and can cause a lot of damage, and doctors especially should know this and not be practicing it.

Of course, no doctor is perfect, and plenty have bad habits of their own, like the rest of us. Still, in regards to smoking, in an ideal world, it should be doctors who lead by example in healthy habits. We do not live in an ideal world; plenty of us have unhealthy habits and can’t kick them despite knowing they’re bad. Doctors are human too.
