#20: Starred in a Sitcom, Evening Shade Late in Life
As his film career declined in the late 1980s, Reynolds found success on television. In 1990, he starred in the CBS sitcom Evening Shade, playing Wood Newton, a former professional football player who returns to his small hometown to coach a high school football team.

The show was a hit with audiences, blending comedy and heartfelt moments. In 1991, Reynolds won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, marking one of the few times he was officially recognized for his acting talents.
