#15: Owned a NASCAR Team

Reynolds’ love of fast cars extended beyond his movies—he was also involved in NASCAR. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he co-owned Mach 1 Racing alongside stuntman-turned-director Hal Needham.

The team competed in the Winston Cup Series, with Harry Gant as their lead driver. Unfortunately, the team struggled financially and was eventually shut down. Despite this, Reynolds remained a lifelong motorsports enthusiast and often attended races.
