#12: His Relationship With Sally Fields
Burt Reynolds met Sally Field in 1976 when they were cast together in Smokey and the Bandit. Instantly drawn to her talent, humor, and intelligence, Reynolds pursued a relationship, and the two quickly became one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples.

They starred in four films together, including Hooper (1978) and The End (1978), and their off-screen chemistry was just as electric as it was on-screen. However, despite their deep connection, Reynolds’ insecurities and controlling nature led to the downfall of their relationship in the early 1980s.
