Burt Reynolds met Sally Field in 1976 when they were cast together in Smokey and the Bandit. Instantly drawn to her talent, humor, and intelligence, Reynolds pursued a relationship, and the two quickly became one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples.

They starred in four films together, including Hooper (1978) and The End (1978), and their off-screen chemistry was just as electric as it was on-screen.
