#9: This Is Why I Have a Desk Job
I don’t think I would enjoy working retail at the best of times: very physical work done for people who are often ill-tempered, entitled, and angry. But having to work retail on Black Friday would be a special kind of torture, because, on top of the usual bad behavior, you have the added stress of people who are desperate to get their hands on one of those steeply discounted TVs.

Why is it that the prospect of a good deal turns people into absolute monsters? I mean, ripping things meant for customers out of someone else’s hands is terrible behavior, but at least it’s understandable in this context. Why in the world would you defecate in a dressing room? How does that help you get the best deals?
