#7: Turnabout is Fair Play
When I was younger, I had the notion of respecting my elders drilled into me so much that I had this idea that old people were always well-behaved, respectable, and admirable. Then I grew up and got to know more old people, and I realized that they are exactly like the rest of us: some of them are indeed admirable, and some of them are just the worst.

So I read this next story with great satisfaction. I mean, come on, lady—it’s bad enough to steal something from someone’s cart, but it’s far worse to claim that he’s just being a jerk because he’s in a wheelchair. So I think the writer’s revenge seems well deserved. I would have loved to watch her when she got to the cash register and realized someone had done to her exactly what she did to that man.
