#23: White Wednesday
Elsewhere in this article, we’ve talked about the meaning behind the phrase “Black Friday”; we’ve talked about how it might refer to the fact that it is a terrible time, full of violence and anger and man’s blind indifference to the suffering of his fellow man, or it might be a financial thing. Well, as this next story reminds us, the one thing we can be sure of is that it doesn’t have anything to do with race.

This story cracks me up: the fact that this guy had never heard of Black Friday, the fact that he immediately assumed it was a racial thing, and how quickly he came up with “White Wednesday.” Of course, then the guy starts using terrible language, and the story quickly gets unfunny, but still.
