#22: Do You Work Here?

I feel like this story is meant to paint the customer in a bad light, but personally, I think that’s a little bit harsh. I can absolutely see myself doing exactly what this person did in that situation. I live in terror of mistaking a regular person for a store employee, so I do often hesitate and sometimes check before I ask someone at a store for help.

So I can definitely see myself being in this situation—seeing someone wearing Best Buy apparel and a name tag—and still second-guessing whether they are actually an employee. So don’t be snarky, buddy. There but for the grace of God go all of us.
