The day before The Patriot resurfaced, Kelsey’s wish was granted. With no signs of illness or contamination, she and her crew were released from quarantine. Waste no time, she wasted no time, immediately heading for dry land in South Africa. From there, she swiftly boarded a flight bound for the United States.

Once a bit of a nomad, accustomed to life in hotels and hopping from one vessel to another, Kelsey now yearned for stability. She chose Kansas, a landlocked state where the sea’s influence was non-existent, determined to leave the horrors of The Patriot far behind her.
