#29: The Experience of Being Trapped Under the Sea

Imagine being confined at the ocean’s abyss, surrounded by an alien-like environment, filled with bizarre life forms, a daunting atmosphere, and shadows moving in the darkness. It’s a realm distinct from our own; a claustrophobic, mysterious underwater world where the unknown lurks.

For those men who perished in the deep blue, it must have seemed as if they were astronauts marooned on a foreign celestial body, cut off from rescue by the tremendous pressure of endless water above them. The isolation akin to being in space, but beneath waves instead of stars.
