There was a time when Chrissy Teigen’s social media accounts were just about the best thing you could read online. She was super funny in an unfiltered, “first thing that pops into your head” kind of way, and she wasn’t afraid to make her opinions known to the rich and powerful if she thought that they needed to be called out.

So it was a shock and a disappointment to everyone when the whole Courtney Stoddard thing went down. Stoddard rose to infamy ten years ago when they—only 16 at the time—married 50-year-old Doug Hutchison. The whole thing was incredibly weird. But it turns out that Teigen went farther than thinking it weird; apparently she sent a whole bunch of really abusive and bullying texts to Stoddard. When are people going to learn that the terrible things you say on the Internet always come back to haunt you?
