Roman Polanski

Next on our tour of human cesspools, we have Roman Polanski, the influential filmmaker who, in the 1970s, drugged and sexually harassed a 13-year-old girl and later fled to Europe to avoid being prosecuted. Though he’s usually associated with hiding out in Switzerland, he’s apparently actually been in France for a lot of the time.

People do still occasionally try to defend him on the grounds of his artistry and his body of work. Personally, I don’t want to live in a world where people get a pass on doing something that awful just because they have talent and made a movie that someone likes.
