Vaccines have become a pretty hot topic. For some time now, there were groups of people who believed that vaccines could cause autism, prompted by an academic article that has now been thoroughly debunked and recanted and disavowed by anyone who knows anything about medicine. Unfortunately, misinformation has a way of lingering.

And it looks like Kat Von D, the tattoo artist who became famous through the TV show LA Ink, fell for it for a while, stirring controversy when she made an Instagram post saying she wouldn’t vaccinate her child. She has since recanted, though, saying she was uninformed and didn’t know what she was saying.
