#55: No Cats Allowed

In 2020, during a virtual committee meeting of the UK Parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, an unexpected guest made quite an entrance. It was none other than Rocco, the feline companion of committee member John Nicolson, who decided to join the virtual proceedings. With their tail held high, Rocco perched himself on the keyboard right in front of the screen.

As we all navigated the challenges of 2020, this unexpected and endearing interruption provided a brief and much-needed moment of levity. At one point during the meeting, a committee member even had to playfully remind Rocco to “put your tail down,” creating a memorable and heartwarming scene that added a touch of humor to an otherwise serious affair.
