#38: Seeing Double

In 2018, KMSP-TV meteorologist Jennifer McDermed found herself in a rather unusual and entertaining on-air mishap. While in the midst of delivering a standard weather report, an unexpected glitch created a whimsical spectacle. Multiple iterations of Jennifer’s image suddenly appeared on the screen, giving birth to the amusing illusion of numerous meteorological clones.

As the screen zoomed in and the multiplying Jennifers continued to baffle viewers, McDermed couldn’t help but embrace the playful absurdity. She chimed in with a spirited, “Ooh, that’s funky. What is going on?” and even danced her way through the technical quirk. However, as the clone army grew, McDermed eventually succumbed to the comical overload.
